Not a day goes by in my morning that my breakfast is not graced with bread, avocado, cheese, and tea! Here in Chile Often I have noticed how bread is in every meal and oh boy, is it delicious! Aside from the wonderful food , I'm amazed by the scenery every morning. The view of the mountains on my ride to school is a true highlight. Below is a view of the city at the peak of Cerro San Cristobal hill. With a cable ride and short hike you can view the city. At the top of the hill is a statue of the Virgin Mary.
I have not worked out since January but being in Chile has allowed me to exercise again! Both of the boys in my host family love basketball so everyday after school I am either playing a game or doing drills with the kids. My first day here I did layup drills with my host brother and now he can do layups! Below you'll find a video of him doing one at practice.
I couldn't be more happy with my time in Chile. I could go on forever about the culture, my beautiful host family, my teaching, and tours. Just know that I am doing juuuuuuuust fine and looking forward to my last two weeks here.
